Just moved house and got an email with new contract price

Hi, I’ve just had a home move with virgin and was paying £27, I’ve just had an email with a new contract stating it’s now £61 and I can’t pay this. I’ve tried to call in to virgin but I get put on hold for long periods then my call gets disconnected. Does anyone know how I can rectify this because I can’t afford to pay double what I was already paying.

I am sorry to hear you're contract appears to have changed following your move. 

Whilst we can't assist with any package changes here we can certainly clarify things for you. 

Can you advise if you requested for any changes to your current package or if a discount has come to an end?

Neither, I haven’t made any changes to my package and my discount isn’t meant to end until 18 months which would be May 2024. This is the same date my contract was meant to end.
