Is there anything to stop me replacing my Hitron with a router from a different company?

Getting really sick of problems with my Hitron. Its playing up again and I cant wait three UK business days for a replacement - what is to stop me going out and buying a totally different router and connecting that up?

It won’t work. Only equipment supplied by Virgin Media or Virgin Media Business will work on the Virgin Media network.

You can use Modem Mode on the Hitron with a suitable router of your own.
