Giving 30 days notice to leave Virgin Media

The Terms and Conditions state:

If you want us to stop providing the services at the end of your minimum period you will need to give us at least 30 days’ notice as set out in Section N of the agreement.

Since it says 'at least' 30 days, can I give notice of cancellation on the same day I ring up to start a new contract with Virgin Media?

I am thinking something along the lines of, "Hello, I would like to begin a twelve-month contract for broadband starting today and I would also like to give notice of cancellation today to end my services at the end of the twelve months."

Is this possible?

Re: Giving 30 days notice to leave Virgin Media

I believe 60 days notice is the maximum with 30 days the minimum notice.

Re: Giving 30 days notice to leave Virgin Media

Unless you're moving home, it's exactly 30 days that Virgin Media will accept for cancellation i.e. it'll happen 30 days after you give notice.

There is some flexibility for when you move to take account of how moving that works, but not for a year in advance.

Re: Giving 30 days notice to leave Virgin Media

According to some threads like below, you can give a date up to 60days ahead ?

Re: Giving 30 days notice to leave Virgin Media

In this case their 'at least 30 days' is misleading.

Not really it states at the least you have to give 30 days minimum notice, that is what at least means - not less than or minimum.

Majide!
