Final Refund cheque not received

Hi

ive closed my account on 27th October 2018 and yet didn’t receive the refund cheque.

i was advised by virgin customer care that I shall receive it in 35 days after closure of the account.

its been more than 35 days and still there is no sign of refund.

Can you please help me with this and get the final refund cheque ?

P.S: I’ve moved out of my previous address and the updated address has been provided to customer care agent. He has confirmed that he has updated the same on my account details.

Hi Madan, 

It looks as though this was processed on 3rd January for you. 

If you've still not received it then wait until it's been 14 days and call the team on 150 / 0345 454 1111. 

The reason for the wait is because we're not able to re-issue a cheque if one has been issued within 14 days.

Why are you telling people to wait 14 days when your process says it takes 10 days, why the additional 4 day wait.

More to the point, join the 21st century and send money by Direct Credit.

Can I check, are you actually posting the cheques and do the letters have stamps on them as thats 3 complaints of "lost" cheques on this forum and many more on Twitter and Facebook....

I believe Karen has already covered things with you on your own thread Smiley Happy

With regards to the waiting times, the 10 day waiting period is for a cheque to initially be issued. If it has to be reissued then we can only do this once in 14 days.

Way to spectacularly miss answering the questions, so I'll ask again...

1. Why is there an additional 4 day wait when a cheque fails to turn up?

2. Why havent you joined the 21st century and send money by Direct Credit?

3. Do you actually post the cheques and do the letters have stamps on them as thats 3 complaints of "lost" cheques on this forum and many more on Twitter and Facebook....
