Having left Virgin Media in January because of a change of address and unable to have broadband services at the new address, I received a letter stating I'm owed £25 by cheque, but haven't received anything after 5 week to my new address?

Sorry to hear you've not received the refund. Normally refunds are sent via cheque within 35 days.
