Contract query

So something just come up,

I spoke to an agent on the phone called April who honoured a price I was offered via WhatsApp.

now she mentioned something where, she stated even if I accept a new contract now, regardless of it being new. I will be affected with the price increase that’s happening next month…

Is this allowed, seen as I’m signing up to a new contract for 18th today..?- thought this increase would be implemented soon as next year or am I wrong?

What, exactly are the terms of the new contract? If it was for a fixed PRICE for the next 18 months, then no, it can’t be changed and isn’t subject to any price rise this year, if it was a fixed DISCOUNT then it could be.
