Cannot leave virgin as systems down?

Hey, anyone trying to cancel your services today to be told, ah we can’t process your cancellation as our systems are down, call us back in a couple of hours. 

It seems they can access every other part of my account, just not the cancellation part. 

Is this just a ploy to stop me cancelling?

this also avoids suffering every avoidance trick of the offshore Customer Support team.

I was given a similar reason and was told told they’d call me back. And the next day they actually did! Whether Virgin’s systems are down or it’s a delaying tactic doesn’t matter - it seriously undermines their credibility as a technology company.

Yes, the call was today, but no more action needs to be taken as I’m now resolving an earlier issue.
