Adjusting Virgin media broadband cabling

Hi, I have built an outbuilding alongside my house, which means that the existing Virgin media cabling is now too long and in the way. I would like to simply shorten a couple of cables and reposition the splitter box. is this something I can do myself or does it require a Virgin media technician? If so, how do I book a technician visit as I can't seem to find it on their help section.

We would recommend the work be completed by a technician to avoid any disruption on the line. This would be charged at £25 and we can book this from here for you.
