14 day cooling off

Anonymous

I recently renewed my contract still in the 14 day cooling of period... your very unhelpful call centre says I have to give 30 days notice.  this isn't correct as its a 14 day cooling off.  then tried to change it to say it was 30 days.  this isn't the case when the t&c clearly state

Your right to cancel during the cooling off period - see Section M

-  If you have ordered the services online, by telephone or from an agent attending at your home, and have entered into a new contract, you      have the right to cancel those services within your 14 day cooling off period.  You can cancel immediately during this time without having to pay an early disconnection fee.

I have now emailed head office on this matter. also complaint has been raised to Ofcom.

Well I wish you look in getting help with an attitude towards the small group of people trying to keep 5 millions customers connected.

I don’t have to justify my actions to anyone on here... especially virgin media staff with nothing better to do put post snarky comments in their spare time defending their joke of a company.

No one from Virgin media has posted on this thread.

But i'd still like to see the proof of the data breach. so post that if it happened.
If you can't post it we will assume it was just rubbish

It astonishes me the amount of people on this forum put up with the shoddy excuse for a service from Virgin and think they are brilliant... when they are actually worse than BT.

As for the data breach

Hi @Anonymous, thanks for your post although I'm sorry you're wanting to leave us.

I know you've had some replies on this thread about this matter, and it's true that in your case, your Right to Cancel period refers to your new contract where you can revert back to your previous deal.

If you was out of contract on your previous deal, then actioning your Right to Cancel and reverting back to this status means you can then give your 30 days notice period to disconnect your services, without early disconnection fees.

It is only brand new customers that your points refer to, due to that contract being the only one they've ever had.

I hope this helps clarify and if you wish to discuss this further, please call us on 150 / 0345 454 1111 and a member of the team will be happy to help you.

Many thanks
