Hello I have no signal on my landline (plugged into BT style wall socket) and has been working in the same set up for about 18 years. Swapped phone out but no difference

Could it be a cold call where they don't correctly disconnect? I had that before and Virgin have to force disconnect.

Please help! My mum is 95 and lives on her own and can only contact me on this landline not my mobile!
