landline not working

can virgin please tell me why my Panasonic phone model kx tgb610e does not receive incoming calls 

please do not advise me to unplug or trawl around your website etc as I have spent days doing all that and still does not work, I would like a technician to look at this problem as your service checker stated there are no faults in my area - n16 6un London

I am so sorry to hear that you have faced these issues with your phone. Can I just confirm is this a new phone or an existing phone that had worked in the past? 

Do you have a dial tone at all and are you able to make calls? When you call your home number does the line ring but not the handset?

Check the phone's ringer or bell is not muted.

Assuming the phone makes out going calls, try disabling the Nuisance Call Blocking & then give your line a call.
