Your home phone is getting an upgrade

Received an email this morning informing me that my home phone on March 3rd will be switched over to our fibre network.

The only people who use my landline are the call centre scammers which amounts to about 99% of the calls I receive, it got so bad I pulled the plug out of the wall socket, I hate the Virgin Media landline, if I could dump it I would.

When the adapter arrives it will stay in the box, I am totally not interested.

Coming at this from another angle...

No-one is forcing you to keep your landline and you're quite at liberty to ask for it to be disconnected. However, it's the nature of VM's bundle discounts that, with landlines especially, it will often be cheaper to keep it and just not use it... to avoid losing the package discounts it attracts.

With that in mind, whether you have anything connected to VM's landline kit - however it terminates - is upto you.

In other words - is it hurting you?
