VOIP line / Hub3 question

Hi folks,

Just had a new line installed and it's VOIP connecting in to one of the ports on my Hub3.

Now i don't have a spare handset to check just now but will i be able to simply plug in a second handset to the spare port on the hub allowing me to have two phones on the same line? Or will i need to stop being a cheap git and buy a pair or cordless phones. 🙂

The ports are not linked. The second port is for if you have a second phone line on your account.

Hi, Deakin,

 

Thank you for posting. How was your phone service since your post? Are you having issues with your phone connected on your hub?

You can use two ports on your hub for your telephone. You can use Tel 1 and 2 on your hub at the same time.

You can only do that if you pay for two lines

I agree, I asked the same question 2 weeks ago …. (and ended up answering it) and used the above mentioned splitter from Screwfix.

The 2nd port on the hub is definitely for a 2nd line on the account which you don’t have, so buying a splitter was the correct thing to do.
