Transfer landline number

I am two weeks away from having all Virgin Media services installed, I want to keep my landline number from Sky and transferred to Virgin, Sky has not been cancelled yet, how do I make sure I retain our phone number before Sky services are cancelled?

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

Did you confirm to the sales team you want the number port to be done (keeping your old number)?

The number needs to be active to be able to port over also but do keep me posted.
