my Virgin Media telephone is displaying "Line Cord Error" and doesn't accept or make calls.
I've tried unplugging and re-plugging all the cables, and making sure they are secure but to no avail.
I've tried other hansets, but again no success.

I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to make / receive calls on your landline at the moment.
