I have just received an automated call telling me that my Virgin media will be switched off in 24 hours because it has been compromised - which I do not believe. There was a select 1,2,3 etc choice which I did not do as I suspect it is a type of scam. Has anyone else received this type of call and if so are Virgin aware its happening ?

I can assure you that we would never contact our customers in this way, or restrict your home services due to any external attack, so you can rest assured that this was not a genuine call.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of scammers out there who try their hardest to prey on unsuspecting individuals. Would you be able to provide the number this call originated from so we can feed this back to our security team?
