Hi there @NinjaMeerkat

Thank you for your post and welcome back to the forums!

As jem101 has stated you are fine to remove this, as the socket is no longer in use.

Just so you are aware we can arrange an engineer to come out and do this for you but there is a charge of £25 for this appointment. Please do let me know if you would like us to arrange this and I'll be happy to pop you a PM.

Thanks, presumably I can just cut the cable where it comes into the house from the wall box.

Hi @NinjaMeerkat

Apologies for the conflicting information, however we wouldn't recommend you remove this yourself.

There is a risk of damaging active equipment.

If you would like us to arrange an engineer to remove this, please let us know and we can arrange this for you.

Please pop back to us when you can.
