Phone makin cracking noises

My home phone keeps makin cracking noises, I'm unable to make or receive phone calls, I bought a new phone and still havin the same problems, I've followed all the guidelines with no joy, any help be appreciated

Everything got sorted today thanks, I cut the phone line cord when I was decoratin, fella came this mornin n fixed everything thanks again
