Number changed without warning

WHY has my home phone number changed without any warning or letting me know???

Relatives have become very worried as they have been ringing and ringing and getting no reply.

I have just rung my mobile from my home phone and the number has changed.

I would like an answer please.

How am I supposed to know there is a fault. I only knew the number had changed when a neighbour
came knocking at my door as my relative had contacted them with worry.

I have an engineer booked for tomorrow morning as they say there are other problems being shown at my end, so will update after the visit.
