I always used to get an intermittent dialling tone on my landline when I had a new voicemail message as a way of notifying me, this stopped a couple of months ago so I now have to dial 1571 every time I come home or when I hang up after a call. I’ve spoken to customer services 5 times and they have been absolutely useless.
Does anyone have any suggestions as what I thought was a simple issue is turning out to be extremely difficult, frustrating and time consuming?

Landline Voicemail Issues
I also want to ask a few questions just to make you’re your home setup is all okay, can you please tell me –
If your phone is plugged into the mains or an extension?
Is your HUB performing okay? The landline works through the HUB in most cases, so if your internet has gone off, your phone line might have ceased to work too.
Have you got a different handset to test the line with? If yes, please have a go and let me know if it improves things.

My phone is plugged in to my hub. The hub performs ok, I have no problems with WiFi.
I have tested with a different handset and get the same issue.
Whenever I get a new voicemail message my phone rings straight away but I don’t get the intermittent dialling tone as a notification of a new message.

Thank you for all the extra details - I have been able to locate your account and can't find any reason as to why you are not receiving your notification for voicemail in the form of the intermittent dialing tone.
I've raised this issue with our specialist landline faults team who are going to look into this further for you. They should be in touch with you within 24 hours.
