Having issues with the landline. I have a dial tone and can make outgoing calls but anyone trying to ring in is being told that it is not possible to connect your call. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi karenh76,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear that you are having an issue with receiving incoming calls.

Just a few questions to check,

As simple as it sounds, can you confirm the number people are calling you on is correct?

  • Have you activated call divert or anonymous caller reject?
  • Do you have a handset that blocks certain calls?
  • The numbers that are trying to call you, are they private numbers, mobile or normal landline numbers? If normal landline numbers, are they from the same provider?

Pop back and let us know so we can get things working for you again.

Thanks,

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

The number being called is correct, call divert isn’t activated, no issues with blocking calls and the numbers trying to phone are either virgin or O2. I tried it again a while ago and it rang through and I thought it was sorted again but we’re back to not being able to connect the call.

Thanks karenh76

1 last question, have you tried an alternative phone

I am more than happy to take a look at this for you though
I will need to send you a private message to pass security
If you can check the purple envelope top right of your screen that would be great
