New customer

Hi

I'm cancelling my broadband and phone with VM following issues with VM customer services.

However someone else in the household wants to join VM and wants to keep the phone number as I don't want to keep it.

Is there a way to do this or will they have to take a new number?

Thx

Re: New customer

This wont be allowed as it's an easy way to manipulate the new customer deals

Re: New customer

Thanks jb. Can't say I'm surprised.

They'll just have to switch to someone else and I'll let them take the number across (and their money away from VM)

Re: New customer

Hi pmbob

Welcome to our community forums and thank you for posting.

We are sorry to hear that you are looking to leave us as a result of issues and the customer service you have received.

Is there anything we can help with on here?

If you wanted to transfer the account this can be done through a transfer of ownership.

Is this something which you would be interested in?

Re: New customer

Hi David

Unfortunately it would take a minor miracle to restore any faith with VM as poor treatment by CS, especially towards long term customers, won't be rewarded with continued custom.

Ref the account transfer; it says the person taking over the account will be entering a minimum term contract. Will they be considered as a new customer and be able take advantage of new customer offers?

Re: New customer

The agreement would stay the same concerning price and bundle.

Re: New customer

Hi Martin

Couple of questions on this.

Would this mean they would be forced to take on the broadband part as I'm cancelling both?

As they won't be treated as a new customer, would they be taking on the length of time I was a customer for?

Re: New customer

They would take on all the services that are part of that agreement.

Yes they would take on the length of the remaining contract.

I'm not in contract which is why I'm leaving. It's VM account transfer that states that there's a minimum term contract but it doesn't state what that minimum term would be.
