New contact landline issues

Hi we moved to virgin on Monday and even though we asked for our old number to be moved from BT it does not appear to have been. Also, since the move every morning at about 9.30 we get a call from 02038399963 and there is no one there. No one has our number and when I googled this it comes up as a scam. It there anyway to stop this?

Sorry to hear of your experience with our landline service so far. There are two aspects to this issue:

1) Your landline number transfer. We will need to send you a PM to confirm a few details so we can look into this for you. We may need to request the number from BT if this has not been completed already, which can take several days to port over. Sincerest apologies for any delay or inconvenience caused if this is the case! We will be able to provide an estimated timeline which the request has been made. 

2) The silent call you are receiving from the number. 

There are a few different options on what may be happening here any how we can proceed. It may be that you are experiencing an unwanted call, or there may be fault with your current landline service In order to establish this we will need you to answer a few more questions:

  • Are you able to make and receive calls from the landline.
  • Have any other calls been silent?
  • Are you experiencing any noise or interference on the line during the call?
