My phone is connected to a VM socket (and extensions) installed 25 years ago. The extension wires are degrading and at some point will fail. I see the VM Hub (directly connected to the fibre cable) 3.0 has 2 telephone sockets. Assuming I can find the right connector, can I simply plug in a phone to the Hub and if I do, (1) will it work and (2) will the original phone socket still work as well?

We are migrating everyone over to 21CV (phone via the hub) but you'll need to wait to be migrated over before doing so.
