Phone has been fine for years but just found out people have been calling us for last few days and getting no answer. Tried to get an outbound line now and my BT6500 cordless handsets both say “Liine cord error. Please check”. I’ve checked status via the website and it’s says the line is fine so not sure what the issue is as I see it’s not uncommon with other posts on the forum Tried plugging an old corded phone in and the line is dead but not sure if the phone works anymore anyway! Any ideas? Can someone carry out other checks or offer other ideas before an engineer is needed m?
There is a cut somewhere in the line outside of your property possibly a fault at the street cabinet.
You need to call Virgin Media on 03454541111 from your mobile. If you have no inclusive minutes or need to use a payphone call 08001831234 and select option 4 then option 2 and you will be connected to customer services and faults.
