Landline not working

I am getting no dialling tone on my home phone which is plugged into my Hub 4 router. I tried ringing my number from my mobile but again it appears the phone line  isnt working.

According to my Virgin Media App the phone line is working along with my TV & Broadband

Any abvice to fix the issue would be welcomed

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's great having you on board with us in the Community. 

I'm sorry to hear your landline is not working as it should be currently. 

In order to help look at this, there are a few checks we will need to go through with you. Can you let me know the following please:

  • As you're connected through the Hub can you ensure the adapter is plugged in correctly and reboot the hub?
  • Do you have an alternative handset you can try in the Hub to see if this works?
  • When lifting the handset to call a number, do you get any tone at all?
  • When receiving calls, does your landline itself ring?

If you can come back and let me know the answers to the above. It's possible we may need to get an engineer out to you so please ensure you come back to us here 🙂

Hi There

Thanks for your advice & it certainly worked. Tried another phone and plugged it into the rear  of the Hub 4 & everything  is now Cushdy .
