Landline dead, AGAIN

Originally happened in November, waited 10 days to get it fixed, NOW,  

Phone line went dead again, this morning. during a call. Now no dial tone, nothing, unable to call in or out..

Have tried connecting a second phone, nothing. Tried phoning my number from another phone (neighbours!) nothing, phone just drops the call!!

According to the status checker, there's nothing wrong with my phone line!! 

Now, tried to sort this online, but the stupid system just sends me round in circles, and repeatedly says to phone 150 from a virgin landline!! (helpful NOT, as landline not working!!) 

Once again, VM's service is PANTS!!

Hopefully this time we won't have to wait 10 days for an engineer to conclude that there was a problem at the exchange, that  he sorted it in about 10 minutes from the local cabinet!!
