With the switch to fibre phone, is the charge made for a landline going to be removed?

i ask this because, the landline is now making calls using our internet.

Hi mrglwatson,

That's no problem at all.

When it came to switching over, we would install a broadband hub to allow him to access the phoneline but he would not be able to use broadband unless he takes out a broadband package. He would also need to book an engineer for the switch to take affect so as soon as he is notified, he will need to contact us so we can get the visit booked in for him.

Hope that helps to explain things 🙂

Thanks,

Hi mrglwatson,

Thanks for your post and for coming back to ask your question in the Community.

There are no changes to the telephone rental and call charges. These all remain the same. The only thing changing is how we deliver the service to you.

You can find all there is to know about the home phone switchover here

Let us know if you have any further queries or questions.

Thanks,

thanks for such a quick reply.

My brother in law, has a virgin land line, but does not have a router, so what would happen for him?
