Home Phone not ringing

Hello,

A new Virgin Media user here and the install hasn't been without problems. I've had to take 4 days off work so far.

31st Jan for the original install, but my line was damaged so I couldn't get connected to the phone service. I was connected via another cable to the broadband & TV service. 4 Feb someone came to connect the phone line, but couldn't (see above) & he called for a relaying of the line. This happened on 7th Feb, where the installer left me with a working Broadband, TV & phone line, wasn't connected internally. Friday 8th Feb I finally got the internal wiring installed for the phone line & socket. However, my phone number wasn't ported until 12th/13th Feb, meaning I've had no land line since 31st Jan.

Testing the line today, 14th Feb, & I can't get the phone to ring on either a cordless or corded phone. I can ring out, but neither phone rings on the VM line when I ring in from my mobile. I gather that this is a known problem from reading other post on here. I am reluctant to take another day off work to solve this, but is there anything VM can do to solve this problem.

Frustrated

Oh I also forgot to mention that since the new undamaged cable was laid I haven't been able to get the 200Mbps speeds that I should be getting, maximum so far has been around 160Mbps. I'm not sure the two things are related, but I'm new here. So forgive me if I should post this info elsewhere.

Again, still frustrated.

Many thanks for the reply.
I did make an appointment & even booked another half day off work, but the two days later the problem fixed itself.
I'll keep monitoring the line, just incase the same happens.
