I have a BT call blocking phone which until recently worked absolutely fine on my virgin media landline. It now will not allow anyone in my VIP contact list to get through, it blocks everyone. I have checked to see if I have call barring enabled on my Virgin media phone account in case this is blocking calls before they reach the phone but I can't see it on my account. It seems to coincide with when my line was changed from a socket connection to one now going through my WiFi hub. I don't know if this is a coincidence or not? I also see on my caller display that at regular intervals throughout the day I get calls from "no number" although the phone doesn't ring. Again this is since it was connected to the hub. Any help would he appreciated as I now have to turn the callblocker off so that my VIP contacts can get through which now means I get lots of cold calls too.

Hi rnmh1964,
A warm welcome and thanks for posting on our community forums. This really is a strange coincidence this has happened since the home phone switch over. As you have advised you've already made sure that you do not have the call barring feature on the line, we will need to carry out some further checks from our end for you.
I am going to pop you over a private message to take some details so we can investigate this further for you.
Please click on the purple envelope to accept the chat.
Kind regards Jodi.

Hi rnmh1964,
Just a quick note to advise you this issue has now been passed on to our 2nd line faults team for further investigation for you.
As these issues have only arisen since the changeover, we will need to investigate what has happened for you.
Our team will be in contact with you to discuss this further in due course.
Kind regards Jodi.

Did the call blocking feature still work after the digital switch over and plugged the phone into the hub ?

I'm not switched over yet just asking before I get switched over at the BT dect system cost us £120 and the main reason was the call blocker as we have had zero marketing calls for the past 6 months.
So wanted to see if the other customer got his call blocker working which isn't a service on Virginmedia it's built in on the dect phones hardware/software
I've live chatted to BT just now they clarified the models call blocker works on digital voice however they cannot say if it works on your service due to the adapter and to reach out to my provider.
As the user in this post has a BT phone with call blocker I asked if his was sorted and working before I get switched in march.
I'm in contact privately with Molly T
The model of my BT phone is d93x

Could the secret to making call blocking / permitting work be the numbers must be stored on the phone in the same format as they arrive from the VM VOIP Caller ID process ?

The built in call blocker on my bt dect system has a a caller monitoring so any numbers in the phone book are permitted to get through, those that aren't they face the call screening to press 1 to continue the call.
Many marketing and spam callers can't through on this as we haven't had one in 6 months hence why we still need this to work when we get switched to digital switchover or wasted 120 quid as the main selling point is the call blocker works brilliantly

Which version of the VM hub are you using?
