Hi Matt,
Sorry to hear this! Thank you for your patience whilst we get this sorted for you. During your conversation did the engineer advise you that the work would need to be rescheduled? It could be a case that there is a blockage requiring further work before the cable repull could be completed. I do appreciate this must be a frustrating experience. If you would like to you can raise a complaint here: https://virg.in/makacomp That way we can look into this further for you, take any feedback you have, and establish what you are looking for as a resolution. Hopefully we can get this sorted!
All the best.

You still haven't answered the question. What is the actual problem you are having with the broadband? The technician visit should have fixed the signal levels. The cable fault is clearly not a serious one or you would have no connection.
So how is the fault showing up? What are your ethernet speeds, and what does a BQM look like?

OK If it's dropouts then you need to set up a BQM and post a Live Link here. That will show the dropouts and will demonstarte what needs fixing.

Thanks for your reply and update, MattjVideos,
How has the service been since your post? Were you able to get things set up as advised by jpeg1? Let us know if you need further help.
Cheers,
