Please help. Since being provided with new V6 media box and new router, I cannot play Xbox live with a wired connection.
Xbox settings say wired cable connected and connected to internet. Then I try to play online and screen notification says “you must have an active internet connection to play Xbox live”.
Ethernet cable is fine, restart has been done. Other port being used for media box too.

I am sorry you are having difficulties with Xbox live. You mentioned that it was a new hub and it sounds as if ports may need opening for in the hub firewall. Reading this xbox article it would suggest so. We also have an article for how to add them to the hub Setting Up Port Forwarding and Port Triggering on your Virgin Media Hub (Best to add them in ascending order btw)

Sorry to be totally slow at this sort of thing, but can you provide a more detailed distribution on how to do this please? Can follow the steps to get to this point but then not sure what to do next!
