Virgin Media blocking ea servers

Simply virgin media are blocking access for EA servers. Tried calling virgin media but they are useless transferring me to different departments. What should I do?

All my EA games can't connect to the servers for a week now.

Re: Virgin Media blocking ea servers

The thing is, your screenshot actually shows a good tracert to EA

Ignore the hops in the middle that appear to fail.  There are hops that don't respond to ping queries as they prioritise routing traffic.  If they were really failing then the tracert wouldn't get to the final hop.  Which it does.

Furthermore the final hop shows no packet loss whatsoever 7/7 pings responded to.

I did my own test over a longer period again from my VM connection. (BTW If you select edit copy in the UOonline trace tool - you can then paste in the results rather than having to screenshot them)

There is weirdness in that 159.153.164.173 actually has multiple reverse DNS lookups (which I'm reasonably sure is not recommended, but doesn't actually affect the connection), but that again is down to EA rather than Virgin Media.

I'd be asking EA what's going on.

Tim

Re: Virgin Media blocking ea servers

😂🤣I solved the issue. Ran a malware bytes scan and found a few quarantines and I had to restart my PC. After that I could connect to the EA servers again. 😂🤣

Re: Virgin Media blocking ea servers

Which goes to show it was either the malware blocking you or EA blocking you because they detected suspicious activity from your IP.
