Upload/Streaming Issues - RM9 Area

Hello All,

 

For the past month or 2 now I have experienced regular drop outs in my internet. I first noticed an issue when Netflix suddenly stopped playing in the middle of a TV show last month (WIFI smart TV). This then continued to happen at least 2/3 times a week whilst watching a show.

After a while I started noticing problems with my upload as well. I enjoy video game streaming, and so opted for the top Vivid 350 package, with 21 meg upload.

I like to stream at around 8.5mbps, but for a while now the software keeps dropping frames all over the place. I know for a fact it is not my pc or the software as I was quite happily streaming at these exact settings before hand, with no issues.

I tried using my mobile phone via tethering to see what would happen there, no problem at all streaming like that, but of course that isn't a viable long term solution.

This is beyond frustrating, especially as I pay good money for the top tier package. 8.5meg should hardly tax a 21meg upload service.

I have called customer service several times and they haven't been much help, always telling me there is a problem which will be fixed. Today is the day I was told the issue would be resolved (I have a recording of the phone conversation as proof).

Mods, can you assist please?

EDIT: FYI all, my streaming pc is hooked up via ethernet through an ethernet switch (same issues occur when connected directly to the router). I have a hub 3.0

I diagnose your connection is goosed. And thats a technical term.

Wait for staff to pick it up you'll likely need an engineer.
