I’ve been in contact with your support numerous times. I was told when I signed up that I would be able to stream seamlessly with the package I had. That was the 100mbps package. Since there is only 2 people in my house, one gamer and one not, I can totally see this would be the best package. However, this wasn’t the case, I called you and you advised I should upgrade to the 350Mbps package, which costs a lot more!!
This had minimal impact. The speeds look great! But as twitch relies on the upload (which I get is about 25mbps+) it should work fine. Unless there is throttling in place! I’ve never had a streaming issue before! I was with BT and no issues, that’s with less of an upload. Please sort this out as I’m now loosing a great fan base and you’re affecting my gaming career!
Im on the vivid 200 package and get 1.2upload but its more than fine with streaming to twitch.
Im running "video bitrate" in OBS at 3500 720p 60fps (pretty sure twitch hard caps this at about 2500 if you aren't partnered) and i don't hit the upload speed caps virgin media have in place (or had if they dont have them anymore)
Maybe run some think broadband tests on your line and check your obs settings.
Hi. I had a similar problem which just started randomly. It turned out that Windows 10 version 1809 just landed and it was causing havock with my connection and streaming (plus my CPU use was waaay too high for normal OBS encoding). It was somehow killing the internet for all other PCs at home I still don't know how, but here's what I did to resolve it.
a) Ran the VM test to reset the router (takes 10 mins)
b) Unplug and re-plug all network cables (assuming you use a wired connection)
c) Update your PC network card/ethernet drivers if available
d) Make sure your streaming software is on a later version
e) Check for windows updates on all your computers.
