Re: Steps to fix Area 15 issue (Packet loss)

I bet you wouldn't Smiley Happy

I'd rather have a faulty fibre then 10mbps. At lest the fibre will be fixed at some time

Re: Steps to fix Area 15 issue (Packet loss)

I'm lucky that I can get FTTC and the cabinet is <100m along the road.

It'll be a downgrade from 200Mbps to 70-80Mbps but it'll be fine for streaming services and most importantly actually work for online gaming.

that's because you don't play online multiplayer games.

apcyberax i don't know what your problem is jumping into these posts with your useless comments all the time, we are paying for a service we are not getting.
We have the right to be angry and to continue to push virgin to do something about it. If you don't like it and have nothing constructive to say please leave us to it.

I guess we have different priorities.

A faulty fibre is a nightmare, I can't work from home, I can't use video calls, I can't play online. Streaming is pretty much fine if the packet loss is not too severe.

Besides that, I was paying a full fee, not a discounted one for a bad service.

Anyone get any answers? Or do I really have to switch broadband service today?

I am going to stick with VM for a little while, our area is accepting orders for Ultrafast so we should have more options soon.

Re: Steps to fix Area 15 issue (Packet loss)

It is really too risky for me to stay with VM... They are having an infrastructural issue and they haven't been able to fix it in 15 days.

Adding another, more expensive option, is not going to make things better; i would only have to pay more money for a faulty connection.

Just my opinion, of course.
