SH3 LATENCY ISSUES

Recently, I've started to have major latency issues and seemed to find no resolution. Whilst playing games such as call of duty and fortnite etc i face huge lag spikes. As a result of this, i can see my ping constantly drop from 25 all the way upwards to 400. This re-occurs every couple of seconds and makes the games unplayable. Previously i faced no issue with the latency of the sh3 however the last 2 weeks have been awful.

I am currently on the latest firmware. - 9.1.116.608

Re: SH3 LATENCY ISSUES

Hi numar781

Is the device you’re playing on connected to the hub by a wired or wireless connection?

(There’s a fix for PS4 wireless lag here: https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Gaming-Support/FIX-FOR-PS4-LAG-SPIKES-WORKING-FOR-MANY/m-p/3798... )

Re: SH3 LATENCY ISSUES

I've been having the exact same issue since July 23rd. Virgin keep telling me nothing is wrong, I've had 2 engineers out to say the same thing and when I try and show them the issue on a simple ping test they tell me they don't understand what I mean. It's an absolute joke that Virgin aren't listening to us.

Re: SH3 LATENCY ISSUES

Hi numar781,

Welcome to the forums, I am sorry to see you have been having trouble with your connection.

I have taken a look and it seems you are affected by fault ref F006537246 for SNR and FECS. This has now been resolved and the connection is looking good from this side.

If you are still having trouble wlt us know and we will be happy to take a look for you.

All the best

Emma

Re: SH3 LATENCY ISSUES

Hi k_shrpe5,

I would love to take a look at this for you but I am having trouble locating your connection details.

Your last log in was from an IP address which doesn't relate to a Virgin Media account, and your sign-up email address is also non-Virgin Media. Consequently I am unable to identify your account. Please pop me a PM (Purple Envelope, top right hand corner) with the following information so we can investigate further.

Name on account:

Virgin email address:

Postcode and house number:

Contact number:

We'll be happy to progress things for you once we have received your reply.

Kind Regards,

Emma_E
