Random dropouts while gaming

Hello.

Just wondering how I could fix a occasional dropout that I get when I'm playing games such as Minecraft, things stop registering for about 10 seconds, then suddenly kicks me, I don't think the internet actually disconnects, because if I'm in a call with someone on discord, I don't disconnect from that, Unless it might be a ping issue. any suggestions on what I could do to fix this? Would also appreciate some advice on lowering latency from 22ms to maybe around 13ms if that's possible as I used to get 13. I am on the gig1 package.

Running on 1Gbps VM service with SH4 in Modem Mode, with a ASUS GT-AX6000 router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.
My advice is at your own risk. If you are happy with my answers please press Kudo ?

Yeah I've always used my pc with an ethernet cable but for some reason still get the weird dropouts while gaming.

However I do use the hub 4 and do not currently have a router in order to put it in modem mode. Would purchasing a router for it improve things?

Thanks for coming back to us @tomthegamer150, and a very warm welcome to our Forums!

Some of our users do use their own router, with ours then placed in modem mode, with some good experiences and recommendations being shared on the Forums.

Have you possibly experienced this issue on other games? If so, are they created by the same manufacturer?

Kindest regards,

David
