For the past 4 or so months my internet has become extremely unreliable, sometimes i just get up to 100% packet loss for a while and sometimes my internet goes down completely for anything from 5 minutes up to an hour or so, every time i try to contact virgin about my issue i wait on hold for 30-45 minutes and get cut off, its becoming infuriating

Really sorry you've been having some internet issues and for the delay in us replying to you, we have been busier than normal.
I've tried to locate your account using the details you provided when joining our community but I've been unable to do so.
Hopefully you've been able to speak to the team about this matter and it's been resolved but if it hasn't please can you reboot the hub and private message me your address so I can start some further checks?
