Packet Loss, Unstable Ping

Last 4 days I've had huge package loss, and ping issues with gaming & streaming. It's basically stopped me from streaming completely, and gaming is difficult. My upload speeds keep changing from 10 to 3 each different time I do a speed test. Restarted it, changed the ethernet cables, used the Virgin repair kit, called the Virgin phoneline, and still having the same problems. Considering the price Virgin costs, I would love to get some actual real help beyond "well have you tried xyz? Oh that didn't work? What about xyz?". If this continues to go on past another week I'll have to consider changing ISP. Streaming is my part-time money maker, and I'm paying a LOT more for Virgin than any other ISP charges.

It could be congestion.

Create a BQM, post the live link, and we can check.

If it's not congestion it could be HUB stats out of spec.

Could you access your router using http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.100.1 for modem mode. Log in, select the 'Advanced settings / Tools / Network status' option and paste your 'Downstream', 'Upstream', and 'Network Log' tabs? Please copy/paste this data as text, split between multiple posts (Sometimes you have to click 'Post' twice due to an error message).

Re: Packet Loss, Unstable Ping

So I created one and have a link here but it's empty? So I'm guessing there's a step I'm missing

Here's all the photos you requested, and thanks for the fast response!

Re: Packet Loss, Unstable Ping

The BQM starts when you create it so will take a while to populate:

https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality/share/3b33d042551015f0ea3d0482708a2518ef...

Could you post the HUB stats as text (Copy/Paste), as images are generally harder to read/will get rejected due to showing personal data like Public IP?

Re: Packet Loss, Unstable Ping

Okay so here's the populated live graph, although it might not be too useful considering I've been asleep most of its time

Re: Packet Loss, Unstable Ping

HUB stats are ok.

Mild congestion by the looks of it:

Re: Packet Loss, Unstable Ping

What is congestion? And is there a way to get rid of it? Cause I'm getting lag and net problems every day because of it.

Congestion is too many users trying to use the service in a specific area.

There is nothing you can do about it, other then report it to VM.
