Massive latency spikes in games and while web browsing.

Hello

I've always had a little bit of trouble with my network but everything was seemingly fine in my last home in Croydon. However, since moving to Wandsworth and having a new Virgin Installation done I've noticed incredibly lag spikes that usually result in me disconnecting from a game or quitting in frustration. I raised the ticket with Blizzard as the problem was most noticeable on WoW and Overwatch. They advised me to run a WinMTR trace, the results of which I post below (apologies for the mangled formatting, but you can track the numbers well enough):

Please help! It'd driving me crazy. I don't know if it's my computer or something configured incorrectly on the router. It seemed alright before Christmas.

Re: Massive latency spikes in games and while web browsing.

Exact same problem with me, but for league of legends. Having huge latency spikes in game, and the funny thing is, the problem started at exactly the same time as it did for you, right around Christmas.

It was fine before then. Sucks for us :/

Re: Massive latency spikes in games and while web browsing.

Hi there Brotacon,

I'm sorry to hear about this.

I've checked your connection and I can see that you're currently being affected by a high demand for our service within your area under the fault ticket reference F005903007, with a review set for 25 APR 2018. Virgin Broadband, Interactive TV, Catch Up TV, TV On Demand and your TiVo® service Home menu may be intermittent.

I'm very sorry for any inconvenience caused,

Nat_J
