Latency spikes evening ps4 wired connection

Been having odd latency spikes recently in the evenings on the PS4 I have the hub in modem mode and I have my own router no problems what so ever in the day usually, so I don't know if this is another one of these "faults" where playing online at night is impossible.

(Had a previous over utilisation fault that lasted over a year and was dreadful so hope this hasn't started again -_-)

Any answers would be appreciated thanks.

Re: Latency spikes evening ps4 wired connection

I would setup a BQM for your connection to see if you're experiencing latency problems during the evenings.

Also post your levels from your Hub, someone on here will be able to tell you if they look OK or not.

Hi dangerf1sh,

Thank you for your post. I'm sorry to hear about this.

Have you had chance to try using just our router?

Re: Latency spikes evening ps4 wired connection

I don't think it's my own router because everything else on the WiFi is fine throughout the day. My PS4 is wired it's mainly during the evenings and also weekends that these latency spikes have been happening.

Sometimes the latency will be normal one minute then the next spike from 32 to 600 making online unplayable.

Is there any way to know if there is a fault in the area again? So then I know the problem is definitely not my equipment?

Re: Latency spikes evening ps4 wired connection

As AliasNeo has posted, BQM will tell us.

Have you set one up?
