Anyone who is having issues with the superhub 3 and latency try this. I am on the 350 gamer package and had nothing but pure frustration even after the firmware update trying to play online. Put the hub into modem mode but don’t connect another router, for me it’s night and day good luck.
In doing that you're effectively running an unfiltered (DMZ) internet connection to your device which is very dangerous! Also you need a router to be able connect multiple devices to one internet connection (NAT) and you obviously have no wireless network without a (wireless) router.
I agree that in running the hub in modem mode is much better but I highly doubt there would be any difference in latency between connecting directly to your hub or via a correctly configured and half-decent router.
I have the SH3 in modem mode, on the VM350 service, my latency is fine, gaming on PC and PS4 with no issues.
-- Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester) Running on 350Mb VM service with SH3 in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-AC5300 router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech. My advice is at your own risk.
Well my friend that may be of concern but the alternative is far greater. Going absolutely insane trying to work out how on earth the so called superhub works i put it in modem mode but after a few days the lag comes back nowhere near as bad as router mode but still there on every game.
