Latency/Packet Loss Issues

G1nge_UK
Tuning in

Been having issues that have gotten worse recently. Last straw was a complete loss of connection for almost 30 mins earlier. Couldnt even connect to the router to check anything. Bit concerned about the total connection drops.

Did a router factory reset again, going to monitor it over the next few days. This is sort of a pre-emptive strike in case there is something more wrong than a reset required.

Words of wisdom greatly received. Thanks.

Power levels are okay and nothing in the network log. The BQM link is not working?

My appologies, that was supposed to be the link for use in Forums, maybe this will work? Thanks.

Ok new issue, now I cant get anything to connect wirelessly. Wont issue IP's just sits there and stalls.  So much for a factory restart.

How is a wired connection working?  It could just be a wifi issue within your property?  Have you tried splitting the wifi SSID as below and manually choosing the best band and channel ?

• Access your Hub by navigating to 192.168.0.1
• Login with the default login info (on base of Hub) unless you've already updated it.
• Go to Advanced Settings > Wireless > Security
• Under Wireless Frequency 2.4GHz change the Wifi Network Name (SSID), suggest append _2 to the end.
• Repeat for the Wireless Frequency 5GHz, suggest append _5 to the end and click on Apply changes
• Try to avoid spaces and periods in the SSID names as they can cause issues with certain devices.
• Disable the Smart Optimisation on the wifi bands.

Hi

I'm the only wired connection in the house and it's working fine so far, apart from the issues stated in the first post. I had already split the wifi, altered the names and disabled smart optimisation after the last factory reset as I noticed I hadn't already.

Just when you think it might have sorted itself out.

Re-added because it had my IP visible. Could have just bumped the fault up the chain rather than remove the image. Oh well, sooner or later, I guess.  I'm sure this counts as breach of contract as this isnt the 'stable connection' I'm paying for.

using the hub in router mode?

At 4pm could look like a DoS coming from you or to you.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah hub is in router mode, 4pm was triggered by me running a line speed test. Took almost an hour to get the router/connection behaving after that.
