Re: Hub 3 / Compal CH7465-LG (TG2492LG) and CGNV4 Latency Cause

Thanks for the reply Jonathan. I can't explain it - all I know is I had no issues with the Hub 2.0.  Since 'upgrading', the service/signal that I receive has downgraded!

No update here - getting a bit miffed to say the least (although I'm only on 100Mb and not a hardcore gamer by any means).

The situation here is: Amazon Echo works when playing radio or streaming audio for about an hour then 'clicks' repeatedly making it unbearable.

Netflix/Amazon Prime works for the mostpart, but the TV screen periodically goes black, audio drops and signal skips a couple of seconds.

I have my old Superhub 2.0 and want to switch back, so I phoned Virgin last night and the very nice chap on the phone said there was NO way I could 'downgrade' to the hub 2.0.  I pushed him, he said absolutely not possible. He advised that the fix would be to split the 2.4 and 5 Ghz signals. It's made no difference.

How the hell do I switch back to Hub 2.0?  To be honest I now don''t even want to wait for the new Hub 3 firmware, I just want what I had before the 'free upgrade'!

Hi. Call up at 21:55, insist on speaking to "2nd Tier Support". When they ask why inform you are INSISTING that your Hub 2.0 MAC address is re-bound.

If they refuse (unlikely) Post politely yet firmly on Social Media touchpoints.

BUT as others have said, check out your line in case the fault is with power levels or whatever. Others in here are better qualified than I to advise on those aspects. Good luck!

@neillythomas I've successfully downgraded back to my 2ac from the 3, things are much better I still have the contention/utilisation issue which obviously doesn't help. I posted before and after graphs a few posts back, the 2ac does look a lot less yellow Smiley Happy but I'm still getting moments where the internet say between 6pm and 10pm is just pretty dire.

This is a graph of yesterday evening for example.

Re: Hub 3 / Compal CH7465-LG (TG2492LG) and CGNV4 Latency Cause

Thanks for the advice.

I called up a couple of weeks ago at around 11pm and spoke to a lady in India (I guess). I asked her to switch me back to the Superhub 2.0 and she said she could, but wanted to tinker with the settings on the Hub 3 first to see if it helped, which it didn't.

With regard to testing my line, how would I do that?  I have to admit that the Hub is plugged in via an extension lead, but that can't be helped unfortunately...

Re: Hub 3 / Compal CH7465-LG (TG2492LG) and CGNV4 Latency Cause

Having gone back down to the Hub 2 and my Asus, has most of the lag issues now been sorted on the Hub 3 for gaming? I like the idea of using the Hub 3 along and getting rid of the Asus.   I won’t do it though unless the Hub 3 is now stable.
