True to a sense. There's been press about this for months now. What it's taken is having the firmware available to start a trial, which is what I suspected would be the case for quite a while.

The patch to be released will no doubt the equivalent of the 93v patch released across the pond in April.

They already made pretty much the same statement a couple of months ago.

Let's not be mistaken their reply in this thread was made only after the register reached out to them for comment.

VM business modem (hitron brand) has already been patched. i.e. some kind of fix was released by intel in April. Yes they may be waiting on Arris to do something. The crux of the matter however is the lack of communication to maintain deniability.

The register doesn't mention them reaching out yesterday for that update, they were just given it as they've contacted them previously about it, so again, the update is simply based on the fact that they now have something to deliver.

I would rather you apologize for you telling your support staff to blame the users rather than admit you knew there was a problem.

I would rather you gave compensation for your super expensive system not performing for the last 6 months.

 

I would like to know how much OffCom employees were bribed to keep them quiet over all this.
