Re: Hub 3 / Compal CH7465-LG (TG2492LG) and CGNV4 Latency Cause

Hi

We have applied the test firmware to a small number of hubs, and when trials are completed will carry out national updates.

If you have any queries regarding this - please send us a private message..

Best wishes,

I'm not seeing much change to be honest, the log shows a download just after 7am this morning.

Re: Hub 3 / Compal CH7465-LG (TG2492LG) and CGNV4 Latency Cause

It will be interesting to see exactly what this has fixed, both with the latency and ping times, but all the other issues relating to Puma 6/7 and the awful UI.

Can anyone from Virgin shed any light on a changelog? A lot to ask, I know, with Virgin's usual standpoint of not releasing this, but I think it would be helpful given the length of time everyone has been waiting for a fix?

Now that I have my 2ac back and no longer suffer from the issues, I would be prepared to move back to the hub 3, but I would have to be convinced it would be the right move first.

Looking forward to reading the feedback from everyone to see how this update performs.

I'm just another geek and all my posts are my own personal opinion. Smiley Happy
Hopefully I may have been some help, though!

hmm, so they have fixed the dns lookup issues and icmp, however TCP still shows the classic lag spikes, so its only a partial fixTCP.png

this will not help gamers they will still have to contend with the lag spikes, but it does make a benefit for dns lookups and browsing, as you won't be loosing 7-15% of the packets anymore, but unfortunately gaming is still affected.

Re: Hub 3 / Compal CH7465-LG (TG2492LG) and CGNV4 Latency Cause

oh yes I am aware of that, however bare in mind that this is only a release of the V firmware released over the pond ages ago, any actual fix would have to come from intel, so it is still gonna be a long way off, and it won't be fixed for when this firmware is rolled out publicly

Re: Hub 3 / Compal CH7465-LG (TG2492LG) and CGNV4 Latency Cause

If it's this update as suggested: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r31559352-Arris-SB6190-Software-Version-Update this current firmware won't have the full fix in for a while.

I'm in area 21, no updates here yet.

AdamSee, if you didn't get a message from TrialsTeam then you haven't got it, and will have to wait till they push it out when its out of testing.
