Just a quick note to say I am playing wired, and was on the 100. I switched to the 200 last night in anger thinking it may fix it but it is exactly the same. I have noticed by ping on fortnite on PC has gone up by about 10-15 in the last week too.
Welcome to the community and I'm sorry to hear of the connection issues you've had playing online. I've run some checks on your connection and everything looks great. How are your speed tests looking with your PC over ethernet? Could you set up a BQM we could take a look at?
I'm having the same issues and the problem seems to be with "Zayo" the servers the data passes through on the way to EA servers. Ping spikes as soon as it reaches their servers. I've gotten to the point where I've had to make a CEO complaint as calling in and making a complaint to customer services or faults does nothing as they just say the speeds are fine and equipment is fine even though I am trying to complain about traffic routing.
Nope, the game is still unplayable. I have connected at friends houses (who have Virgin, BT, etc) and barely any noticeable delay. I have tried using a different xbox, using different DNS servers, resetting the router before every game. I have even tried hotspotting my phone and playing on my mobile network - which, funnily enough, gave me a better experience at times.
I'm no network genius but there is clearly a jump from 30-40 ping to 100+ ping when the data passes through zayo - which appears to be part of the virgin network. That would suggest to me that there is an issue with where my data is being routed.
A response with regards to this particular issue would be fantastic
