Fequent disconnects while streaming/gaming

Evening all,

Having frequent disconnects from streaming services such as twitch, netflix, online gaming and the internet in general. (3-6 times an hour) The service status test seems unable/unwilling to admit or diagnose a problem.

Its making internet usage extremely irritating and online gaming even worse.

I use an ethernet cable straight to hub 3.0.

Despite showing no timeouts in the upstream channel i get 3-4 critical errors in the network log per hour. Its often the case when i disconnect that i can hear friends/other players talking for some time after i have lost control in game before i eventually get disconnect errors.

Can anyone take a look at the numbers to see if they can spot something?

Hi,i have the same problem.I have contacted virgin 3 or 4 times now over this and they keep telling me nothings wrong their end.The box has been reset on many occasions and even had a tech guy out and still not  fixed,he couldn't find anything wrong my end.Weekends are the worst.I even upgraded to the top package as they said that the upload speeds maybe to slow.Still the same.I am getting to the end of my tether with it now.

There is certainly a problem with your connection. Those Post-RS errors are too high, and only 3 upstream channels are locked at 16qam, which also indicates noise affecting the upstream channels.

Give support a call to arrange an engineer visit on 150 from a virgin media landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.
