unable to get emails on latop

I keep getting a message "your ntlworld setting are out of date" this happens on my laptop but I can access emails on my phone.

Which email client?

Make sure you have a backup of your emails and then consider trying the following:

• make sure the recommended settings are being used:
  

  Incoming (either IMAP or POP3)

  Account type	IMAP		POP3
  Username	richard.branson@virginmedia.com		richard.branson@virginmedia.com
  Server port	993		995
  Authentication	Password		Password
  SSL/TLS	Yes		Yes
  Server host	imap.virginmedia.com		pop3.virginmedia.com

  Outgoing (SMTP)

  Account type	SMTP
  Username	richard.branson@virginmedia.com
  Server port	465
  Authentication	Password
  SSL/TLS	Yes
  Server host	smtp.virginmedia.com

• Remove the account and  set it up again
